The
Seven Musical Truths ©Harold Moses
Composer
Over the span of history, music has inspired many questions,
ideas and theories regarding "what it is" and "how it works."
Music is like a flowing stream which carries us through a fertile
valley, rich in emotions, thoughts and feelings. While listening
to music we may experience happiness and joy, or fear and despair.
Music can cause us to encounter a sense of isolation and aloneness,
or can facilitate our connection with the Divine. How curious
that a simple "collection of notes" can create a canvas upon
which our thoughts and feelings are so easily painted.
Music plays an increasingly important role in shaping and directing
the beliefs and ideas of our rapidly changing world. I believe
that the music we listen to can literally orchestrate our individual
life experiences. Music is a potent and powerful energy!
It
is essential that we consciously engage and personally interact
with Music. These seven truths provide valuable clues and insights
which can assist in this deeper connection.
I Music is the Universal Language.
Music is present in all discovered and undiscovered dimensions.
II Music, as the language of the
Cosmos, is not our invention, rather our discovery. Harmony
pervades all form.
III Harmony is a complex yet understandable
system of vibration and resonance. Musical harmony serves as
a Rosetta stone for Science and Spirit.
IV Music is a 'memory magnet' capable
of calling into consciousness specific human emotion, feeling,
thought and experience.
V Music is a self-organizing stream
of energetic information, which directly effects the systems
of the body, mind and spirit.
VI As a living metaphor, Music
is both teacher and revealer of the nature of God and Creation.
Music serves as a dimensional template for Life.
VII Music has the ability to transform
the human spirit, allowing our hearts and minds to synchronize
with God's Love Streaming.
